I am him, he is me...my husband, his wife

We're Ben and Christina. Our story begins on the telephone. We met online in September 2006 while he lived in NYC and I lived in Miami. We spoke long distance until meeting in person in October 2006. We spoke off and on for several months until we made it official March 17, 2007. UGH! Such long difficult times being long distance and visiting each other once a month or once every 2 months. We had fun times, sad times, insecurities, laughs, struggles. Being long distance is hard!  In this time, we realized we could not live without each other. I am the warm/affectionate/Latin woman - he is the all-American hard working New Yorker. He loved my warmth and spice. I loved his dedication to me and his persistence to love me.

In August 2007, his family came down to Miami for a family trip and I met all of them while visiting with my long-distance boyfriend. This was one of the best times of my life. I knew and felt that this man and his family would definitely take care of me and be there for me if I were to move away from my own.

WELL! May 5, 2008, I moved to the big apple with my honey. I kinda went kicking and screaming. I knew I wanted to be with this man for the rest of my life. I could not spend one more minute without him and we had to live each day with each other. I was not particularly fond of the idea of being a huge city girl... but I had other things on my mind. I'm a trooper and I knew I could make it so NYC was second in my emotions.

We're here... engaged....he proposed on February 14, 2009 at a family "Valentine's Day party." It was supposed to be a Vday party but instead, it was a surprise engagement party. He got on one knee and proposed in front of our family and friends. My family and friends received secret invitations and some of my friends and family were able to make it but it was still the most memorable day. I love him for all he is and even for his crazy city, New York City, that I am slowly beginning to love. It has given us a run for our money but so so so worth it. "LOVE, RESPECT AND HARD WORK. Ride of Die, my love"
